Sandy Cape

We left the sand dunes and finally made it to Sandy Cape. When we got there, we couldn’t go to the beach as it was getting late. The first adventure was very fun! We were going to go sand boarding, so we borrowed some sand boards from the caretaker.

Before we went sand boarding, we went down a track that we were thinking to camp in, but it was not a good drive for the caravan. So, we went down the track without the caravan. It was so beautiful, and the waves were very small and there were no piles of seaweed there either. We just had a quick look then we were off to the sand dunes in Sandy Cape.

We started off with a big sand dune near the beach. It was very steep, and you could go fast on it! After a little bit of that Hadassah (me) and Ezra started going on the rocks in the water. We found thousands of muscles and started pulling them off the rocks then suddenly Ezra said, “I found a sea slug”.  We hurried to have a look. We put the sea slug in one of the sand boards with all our muscles. When we walked away from our collection Sofia came along and grabbed the sea slug and squished its insides out. After that Hadassah (me) and Ezra went on the other side of the great rock and we found a massive sand dune. We told Papa and we went with the sand boards to the sand dune. When we arrived Hadassah (me) and Ezra grabbed the boards and struggled up the sand dune. It was so fun we stayed there for about ten minutes then we had to head to back to the car before the tide came in. That’s the end of our adventure in Sandy Cape.
