80 Mile Beach

Smack bang in the middle of the Great Sandy Desert there is a turn off to 80 Mile Beach. You go there thinking it will be a deserted little shack but you turn in to paradise! Its amazing!

80 mile beach to us was a good and bad place. We arrived in the evening so we didn’t do much that day. 80 mile beach is a in the “middle of nowhere” camp ground. It was in the middle of Port Hedland and Broome.

When we arrived there we set up, had dinner and went to the beach. The beach was beautiful at sunset! The reflection on the water made the ground look like larva. Then we went back. Ezra was a little too excited and face planted on the bridge.

The next day in the morning and in the afternoon we went to the beach. Before all that happened, the neighbours gave us a pile of shells, which was nice of them. Finally we went to the beach.

The beach was beautiful. We drove to an area were there was lots of hermit crabs. After that we went to were the car was, it was parked over some piles of shells. Then Ezra started not feeling good then it all happened! Ezra threw up, it was awful. Then we kept driving.

We decided to drive along the beach as long as possible. Papa (dad) let me keep my door open but I had to hold on to the car. We finally stopped at a place but me, (Hadassah), Papa and Ezra kept going. We would go slowly so I could say stop when there was a nice shell.

Finally we turned back. When we got back we realised that Mama had a collection of coral to take home. We took some pictures and went back. When we got back we all went to bed. That night me (Hadassah) and Ezra both threw up which was a bad thing because in the morning we were going to Broome.

80 Mile Beach is a shell collectors must go place! There are so many shells there and it is a really awesome experience to see them scattered all over the place.
